HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR CLOTHES PROPERLY AND PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT AT THE SAME TIME.

STORAGE

Robust fabrics such as cotton, denim or linen should be hung on a hanger. Elastic materials deform more quickly and should therefore be stored horizontally. To prevent the fibres from breaking, do not overfill the cupboard. Lavender sachets or cedar wood protect your clothes from moths in a natural way - shaking them out occasionally also helps.

WASH PROPERLY

It is often enough to hang your outfit out in the fresh air overnight instead of washing it. This is particularly effective for natural materials such as wool, cotton or linen. Smaller stains can be removed by hand. This saves water and energy. Before washing, you can sort your clothes by colour and fabric type - and separate light and dark. It is better to close zips to avoid leaving holes in the fabric.

Normally soiled clothes can be washed at 30 or 40 degrees on the eco programme. Washing powder with natural ingredients is more environmentally friendly than liquid detergent. Drying clothes in the open air instead of in the tumble dryer saves energy. This saves your clothes and natural resources.

SPECIFIC CARE TIPS

KNIT

It is best to air out your knitwear instead of washing it frequently. Turn inside out before washing and ideally use a washing bag or pillowcase to prevent pilling. The wool programme with mild or wool detergent is perfect. Leave some space in the machine and avoid strong spinning. If you are careful, wash knitwear by hand at a maximum of 30 degrees. Knitwear is best dried flat on terry towels. Knitwear should also be stored horizontally in the wardrobe with as few creases as possible.

ECOVERO™ VISCOSE

Clothes made from ECOVERO™ viscose are best washed inside out and on a delicate cycle at a maximum of 30 degrees. Avoid the spin cycle if possible. We recommend only filling the washing machine two-thirds full. Garments made from ECOVERO™ viscose should be left to dry in the open air. Gently pull into shape beforehand and hang blouses on a hanger.

DENIM

Ideally, you should only wash denims rarely, if possible together with jeans of the same colour - this way the material retains its shape and colour. It is best to wash inside out at 30 degrees and without bleach. We recommend drying your denim garments flat out in the fresh air.

TENCEL™ LYOCELL

Wash garments made from TENCEL™ Lyocell inside out on a gentle cycle, delicates or hand wash at a maximum of 30 degrees without bleach. For dark-coloured fabrics, be careful not to use too much washing powder. This can lead to white stripes/stains on the fabric. After washing, it is best to dry outside and hang blouses and tops on a hanger.
